Using 1/4 yard cuts (not fat quarters) of a wide variety of fabulous fabrics and a very simple piecing technique for sewing half-square triangle blocks, even beginning piecers can make this wonderful quilt! Students will learn a very forgiving way of piecing half-square triangle squares, trimming to size after piecing. The border uses large quarter-square triangles. Beginning students can choose to use half-square triangle blocks for the corners of their border. Intermediate and advanced students can use only the quarter-square triangles and make mitered corners for their border.
